Tips and Tricks: WIP troubleshooting, Time won't record, & Stopping a Scheduled Report
WIP Troubleshooting:
When WIP isn't allowing you to move it to another client please check the following:
- Is the client active & billable that the WIP was created to?
- Does the client the WIP was created on have a bill to client and are they active & billable?
- Is the client that you are trying to move the WIP to active & billable?
- Have any of the clients mentioned above been marked Do Not Allow Work or placed on hold?
- Is the project active?
- Is the employee who entered the time active?
- Is the service item that was used active & billable?
If any of the above items have an answer of no, then someone would need to activate the correct item above to allow the WIP to move. Then, after you are done moving and billing, the item could then be moved back to the inactive status if that is where it needs to be.
Time won't record:
Many of the same instances for this as listed above. Please check the items listed under WIP troubleshooting for this issue as well. A few additional items to check:
- Do you have a billing description in your timer?
- Is there an office location selected on the timer?
To Stop a Scheduled Report
In the search bar at the top of your PracticeERP screen type – pag: Report Schedules and hit enter.
Select View in front of the page.
Find your report and select edit in front of it.
You can now modify the recurrence or remove it as a whole.
