Inactive Box – checking this box will inactivate the project. This will remove it from all active lists and removes the project from bulk rollover as well.  You are inactivating the project for any future use.  When a client leaves the firm, you will want to inactivate all client templates, projects and client record.  Keep in mind you don’t want to inactivate a project or client record if there is unbilled WIP related to this project.  If you need to bring this project back to an active project you can just uncheck the box and save this update.

 

Exclude From Time Tracking – When checked, this project will not show up in the Project list on new Timers. This box gets automatically checked by a script 30 days from the date the project was marked completed and an actual completion date is populated.  This allows team members to record time to the project up to 30 days from completion date.  After the 30 days, you will not be able to track any time to the project.  

 

Don’t Show In Active Lists – When checked, the project will not appear in Active Project saved searches. This box gets updated by a script that runs every 2 hours and checks this box once the project has been updated to completed (actual completion date is populated), no longer a project to be deleted, NLC status, filing not required.   Once this box is checked it will remove the project from active lists.

 

Close Project – A system field used to identify projects to be closed out by a scheduled script.
