Improved Deliverable Automation

Improved Deliverable Status Automation

Multiple deliverables now available with completion automation.

1. For projects that DO NOT follow "Tax Flow":

a. If setting the Deliverable Status to Completed, the Deliverable Date Completed field will auto-fill to today's date.

b. If changing the Deliverable Status from Completed to Not Completed, the Deliverable Date Completed field will automatically clear.

c. If setting the Deliverable Date Completed field, the Deliverable Status will auto-set to Completed.

d. If clearing Deliverable Date Completed field, the Deliverable Status will auto-set to Not Completed. 5

2. For projects that DO follow "Tax Flow":

a. Any State deliverables with Filing Type = Paper will automatically complete when the Federal deliverable is Completed, provided the Federal deliverable is marked as Primary.

b. When the Federal deliverable is considered Complete, the Project Status will be reevaluated. If an incomplete State deliverable with Filing Type = eFile is found, that deliverable will control the Project Status.

NOTE: If more than one incomplete State eFile deliverable, the deliverable with the earliest due date will be used. If more than one incomplete eFile deliverable is found and they have the same due date, the deliverable with the lowest internal id will be used.

Project Status will be based on the incomplete State eFile deliverable's date fields to determine how far along the deliverable has progressed and what the next Project Status should be.

If the system cannot determine the Project Status based on the State eFile deliverable dates (e.g., if all dates are empty), the Project Status will default to the first step of the eFiling process, which is eFile Awaiting Taxpayer Consent.
